Gloria Asare

Gloria Asare, LCSW

Growing up in Ghana, there was no such thing as talk therapy. Mental health was not a topic of discussion in my culture. I became fascinated with talk therapy during my college years here in America. Over the years, I have felt the need to bring talk therapy to the forefront of all communities. My experience has been working with adults with serious mental illnesses, children with family trauma and abandonments, individuals and families. I specialize in couples and groups as well. My approach is creating a safe space for you to be vulnerable and sincere in your disclosure of deep and personal thoughts. I am an LGBTQ ally.

I use an integrative approach to assess your challenges and build on your strengths. Among my specialties is utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to treat Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Gender Identity Problems, relationship problems, divorce and codependency problems.

If you are feeling the pressures of life and becoming overwhelmed with crippling anxiety, depression, scattered brain and unable to cope, reach out to me for a complimentary 15 minute consultation.
